Essex County and the Essex County Economic Development Authority are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Economic Development. Salary: up to $75,000 DOQ/DOE (+) benefits.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing programs to promote the growth and development of the economic base within Essex County and the Town of Tappahannock, which includes (but is not limited to): retention and expansion of existing businesses, recruitment and attraction of new businesses, identifying and/or providing resources for new or existing businesses (including funding, training, technical, regulatory and grant application assistance, etc.), forming or strengthening partnerships with elected officials, local organizations, community and other groups.
